THE OLYMPIAN EXPERIMENT: DAY 3 OF ORIENTATION

3rd day of my JC life. After a good night rest, my body has regenerated to the maxium point. I am fully recharged and ready to take any tasks at hand or so I thought. The usual routine of waking up at 5:30am and ate a piece of plain bread and rushed to school.

Greeted by the friendly security guard which really kick start my day, I too greeted Jack and Chin Swee through a simple sms. I don’t really expect them to reply since I myself seldom reply back to a sms. Walking with joy, enjoying the morning breeze, I suddenly felt something was behind me. Turning around I saw Li Shan, but on second look, it is actually Jane, the co-chairman of the STUDENT COUNCIL. I actually have difficulty differentiating Li Shan and Jane. They both look alike especially the way they walk and talk. So, I greeted Jane and she greeted me back with a great smile on her face. Now, this is truly a great way to start a day.

Then, as I was walking towards the exercise station, I felt a strong instinct to check on my handphone. And so I checked it, it was a sms from Jack. Here is his message to kick start my day. “F*** U! STOP UR NONSENSE LAH! U WILL GET IT WHEN I MEET YOU!” It was pretty disheartening to see such young people so easily flared up just because I send a morning message to him. How strange could he be? Just in case you are wondering what message I sent him, here it is. “Morning! Eaten ur breakfast?” Not affected by the message, I continued to do my simple morning exercise which is some pull-ups. Then again, another strong instinct came to check on my handphone, I checked it and it is a message from Chin Swee. His message though simple, is definetly much better than Jack’s. Here is his message to me. “Yesh…Morning!” This is what I called showing appreciation.

The day finally started but with a very low applauds. SUBJECT TALKS. I the flag-bearer leaded my team to the respective destination. It is the most boring tasks I ever done. The talks bored me to death except for the GP subject talk. The moment we walked into the lecture hall, she asks us to be quick and asks us to shut-up. Then she went insulting us, telling us none of us in this cohort is legible for KI (knowledge and inquiry). Show some respect, there are a few RI students down here!!! She was also quite vain, every time she turned around, she has to swing her silky brown hair so violently so that her hair is conspicuous for everyone to see. The most unbearable is these, the lessons haven’t even started and she said that everyone will fail our GP exam this year. How irritating is that!!!

I mean this is not the right way to motivate us into studying for our GP.

The talk ended and it is time for a break. I don’t really have time to properly have a meal since I have a skit to act in. So I bought a “bao” (bun) from the snacks stall and eat it. A very typical bun, probably from the factory. Nothing much to comment on.

Break is over and I had to meet with the other THEBES PL to discuss about the skit. I volunteered to be the mom. I wasn’t really sure why I volunteered to this role, till now I have no answers at all. No choice, I have to keep my promise and become a mom. I actually wore a skirt, and had to act in it. From then on, everyone from the group calls me “MOM”. The 1st auditions falls on today too. So, after few rehearsals we went for the audition. I have to act sissy, naggy, pathetic in order to successfully make the judges laugh. I eventually did my job with some embarrassments. Here is the storyline.

The skit is about a game show on the WORLD UGLIEST MAN ALIVE. There are 2 contestants, and they went up to see the world ugliest man. They can’t stand the look and they fainted. You should really see their acting skills, they are good!

The day ended.

Wait for my 4th day of my JC life.
