CLEARING THE COBWEBS 2: RETAINING THE HEAVENLY TEMPLATE

In this part 2 of my "CLEARING THE COBWEBS", I shall tell you why I decided to retain this heavenly designed template. Those who are regulars for these blog should have noticed that everytime I make a comback after a few weeks or months of not blogging, I usually change the template of my blog. And since this is one of the biggest comeback ever, why didn't I change the template?

Alright, enough of my crap, I shall come straight to my point.
REASON 1: After searching through the templates ready made by blogger, there isn't any template better than this current one. Also, there isn't any new templates either, so I decided to stick to this one.

REASON 2: You may ask me, why not search other websites that offer cooler templates. Well, as you know (maybe you don't know), I am least interested in those very cartoony templates nor those with flashy animations that make the whole blog so laggy. I preferred those that are more professional looking, more businessman like, like this current template.

REASON 3: If you noticed (which I doubt so, as I just noticed it), my tagboard fits perfectly with this template. It's font colour, it's texture, it's size, EVERYTHING!! If I changed my template, it will take hours to make my tagboard match perfectly to the new template. And you know that I am not that free(well actually I'm really free).

Thus, I have decided to retain my template!!

Next, my next instalment for "CLEARING THE COBWEBS 2", I decided to upload this video. The holiday season is here. People are travelling overseas, partying, having chalets, staying over at another's house. All these required packing, packing AND MORE PACKING!!

I know that packing is very troublesome and so I have decided to upload this video. Learn this skill and trust me, girls will come looking for you...

THE BOY B STRIKES BACK!
Warning: This account has no personal attack. It is just a factual account of the day's event.
It is the dialouge session today, the guest for this event was 2 MPs from two of the GRCs. They arrived at about 1715 and the event started with a small self-introduction of themselves. We had a good laugh and the dialouge session started proper. The moderator then started the ball rolling by provoking us with some thoughts.
After a small hesitant from the crowd, BOY B was the first one to ask the first question. He walked towards the microphone elegantly with confidence. He picked up the microphone and speaking through it. HIS WORDS WERE CONCISE AND CRYSTAL CLEAR WITH A TOUCH OF AMERICAN ACCENT. "WHY IS THERE NO DEMOCRACY IN S'P- - - -?"
The crowd went silent. All of a sudden, a loud cheer and applause came as we applauded for his boldness and straightfoward personality.
From my own perception and guts, I can feel that the two guests are rather stunned and hesitant about answering the question. They approached it with caution and though to me it answer the question, BOY B was rather unsatisfied. "SIR, I DON'T THINK YOU ANSWERED MY QUESTION"

THICK-SKINNED SYNDROME
Let me defined what is "thick-skin", it basically means having high self-esteem and high self-confidence. Most of you may not agreed with me but to me, being thick skin means you really have pride in yourself and really love being yourself.
Some of you may despise people that are thick skin as you think they are arrogrant, over confident and cocky. In actual fact, some of them are. As for me, I admit I am thick skin but not to the extent of being cocky and all sorts.
Those who know me may say that I have the attribute of being thick skin. One famous example is my nick in my class t-shirt. For your info, my nick is "TIAN CAI" which means genius. The reason why I put this nick is not to attract any attention but to actually further boost my self-confidence. It may seems a very easy job wearing a jersey with a nick "TIAN CAI" but trust me, it takes alot of courage to wear that.
For example, today is leisure day. I can wear t-shirt to school. Not having to waste my $18, I decided to wear my class t-shirt. It has been awhile since I last wear this t-shirt. I stepped upon the ground out of my house. With just a single step, I know I am in for alot of attention. Walking towards the lift, my neighbour saw me and already I can see their attention wasn't at me but my class t-shirt. The word "TIAN CAI" WAS AMAZINGLY CONSPICIOUS.
Not only in my neighbourhood, in the public bus too. Into the bus, each time I passed a seat, I can feel that eyes were instantly staring again not at me but my class t-shirt. Thus, I shall say that wearing this t-shirt requires tremendous courage. And this is a warning too, never never never steal my t-shirt. You won't want to wear it unless you are prepared to face the consequences.
Now, enough of me. I would also like to commend on my friends. Judging from the nick of some of my classmates, I think that they have more courage than me. Some of them put the names of the powerpuff girls on that t-shirt. If it is a girl, putiing the name of powerpuff girl, of course it is completely alright. BUT, in this case, they are boys. WOW, I thought I was courageous...
I would really really want to interview them on their feelings when they put on their shirt. Won't it be interesting?

HYPROCRITES

HY
POCRITES, nobody certainly likes them and obviously we don't want to be one of them. However, sometimes due to unforseen cirumstances, we have morphed into them, removing our true identity in order to act to different situations. In that case, it can be forgiven but in some cases, it can't.

I was walking home from Junction 8 just yesterday evening from my PW meeting. My stomach was groaning from the intense hunger. Not even the $2.90 "mee siam" can fill my stomach, so I was heading towards the nearby coffeeshop. Just as I was walking there, something caught my eye. Something disturbing, something terrible, SOMETHING HYPOCRITICAL...
Those who are regulars to Junction 8 will know there the path towards the MRT is filled with tissue sellers and a few buskers. This few years, for some resasons, this auspicious path has been a thriving ground for buskers and tissue sellers.

And so what caught my attention, it was a elderly busker. She looks fine to me, doesn't look handicapped at all. She wore simple clothes and simple slippers and her hair looks rather untidy. However, in the midst of a typical busker, she was holding something a typical busker will be holding. A handphone. And it wasn't a ordinary handphone, from the appearance, it was a rather new handphone. It is certainly a much more newer model than mine. Strangely, she managed to afford that and was talking happily on her handphone which was disturbing. Of course, I didn't contribute any money and so does all the passer-bys. She wasn't even performing anything...

The main point is that if you really want money, do it properly. Don't show off your wealth, it defeats the purpose. I just hope that I won't see such a thing again which I doubt so...

MID-YEAR EXAMINATION RESULTS

Mid-year is over, a new term has started. Finally, the agony and torturing examinations come to a dramatic close. This mid-year was a wake-up call for many for us, including me. A call that reminds us that the days of O'level is truly over. YES! It's time to carry on with life and be fully prepared for THE NEXT BIG THING. THE PROMO. This exam really determines whether you are 1 step ahead of people (if you know what I mean; sensitve topic). Are you up to it? The choice is ulimately yours to choose. Choose it wisely...

After 2 weeks of intense battle with mid-year, I finally scape through it and I'm sure you are interested in my results. And here are they:

Chemistry C
Physics C
Maths U
GP 29/50 for paper 1
Econs U
Chinese D

As you can see, I didn't live up to the expectations. More changes need to be done to achieve my desire results. I won't give up and I 'm sure you won't. We JCians have come too long of a way to give up. Don't let these results to deter us, let us strive even further up to the sky and reap the rewards we will get!

BLOGGING MYSTERY

You know, something is bothering me, something deep and dark, creeping up into my from the bottom of my mind into the main thinking centre of my brain. Hacking through the firewall system overriding my concentration skills and cause me to lose focus to think of this pretty dumb question. Though it may be rather dumb but I still can't help thinking about it. To cut the long story short, the question is how do one blog daily?

First thing first, most typical bloggers blog in order to attraction viewers including me. Therefore, high chance that this blogger or me must write something refreshing or amusing to amuse people. The problem is that how do you put interesting entries everyday. I believe inspiration don't come easy like a click on the mouse like a computer game. It takes the right time, the right moment and the right situation to have the inspiration. You cannot have inspiration everyday, it's pretty impossible.

And so I wonder, how do successful bloggers put in interesting yet attractive entries everyday. One thing I observed is that they are really, really have a sharp eye with observation skill that exceed normal people. Normally bloggers that have many things to blog are those that are very observant. They know what's happening around them, including people. Even if they are coup at home, they still have something to write about. It can even go to the extreme of writing about their toliets, trust me, I read before.

Well, this is just food for thought, do you have the ability to do what is mentioned above?

SIMS 2

I'm currently into playing SIMS 2. Not a really old game and not really a new game. It has been in the market for 2 years. People keep asking me the same question, WHAT'S SO NICE ABOUT SIMS 2? Actually I didn't actually thought about it?

What's so exactly so nice about it? Let me tell you.
First, it helps you to pre-realise your dream of having a family. As you know, I am still a bubbly, lively, smart little chap. I am ineligible to start a family mainly due to my age (obviously) and also financial problems. Since I don't have the financial resources to start a family, I borrow Sims 2 from my good friend and start a family with it. SEE!!! I ALREADY HAVE A VIRTUAL FAMILY. What about you, still lying there on the bed dreaming of having a perfect, harmonious family. Continue to dream on...

Second, it's actually fun to see your Sims living happily, fufiling their desires, increasing their aspirations. In reality, it's not always easy to actually to achieve your goals but in Sims, you can just instantly realise your SIMS's goal with just a small little simple click on your mouse. I know it may actually conditoned us to actually wanting to achieve our goals quick in realiy (if you understand what I meant) but with a little self-control and a little reflection you can get over it..

Third, it's also exciting to actually get married, have a wife and have a dozens of affairs behind your spouse and interestingly enough, your spouse didn't know it till death. Though, it's a real unrighteous and ungentleman thing to do but trust me, it's fasincating. Once again, this is only a game, in reality I will not do such a despicable thing to my girlfriend, my wife or to anybody.

Well, that's all for today. Next entry shall be the results of my MYE. DO stay tuned!

A TERRIBLE DAY
Wednesday, 5th July 2006. This day of my life, I would never ever forget. Though I expected it to happen but didn't know that it was so bad.
So what do I expect? I expected that high chance that I will fail my maths paper. True enough, my worst fear came true, I did fail my paper. This is still a puny little blow, worse is the thoughts I have in my mind.
For some strange reasons, instantly the paper was brought onto my hands, I have the visual image in my mind seeing myself failing other papers too. That really really demotivated me. My mood went entirely to the bottom of the ocean. My face was entirely black the whole day, even I can't stand looking at it. Oral is up next, I need to break out of this pattern.
Failing my maths. I anticpated it. I am not going to give up on my maths nor myself. I came too far to give up now. Nor will I stop setting goals and stop publiczing it. I will continue to strive even further and be the no.1 in the class. I just can't accept the fact that I cannot be no.1. If dozens or even millions of people was able to pick themselves up, so can I!
I will defeat each and every of my competitor even the one closest to me. I shall show no mercy no holding my words. I can no longer take it, this is my last chance. THE PROMOS.
My strategy. I have met once again someone who joined AKLTG before. Working with him to get as many exam papers will be my ultimate aim. I MUST GET A's in my PROMOS TO SHUT THEIR DAMN MOUTH UP!!!

1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
YES! IT'S THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY FOR MY BLOG!!! Well, actually my offical opening of my blog is 19th June 2005. Today is the 22nd June 2006. Therefore my blog is 1 year and 3days old.
WOW! Time flies really really fast. I never imagined that I am still blogging after 368days. So many things have happened. Completing my O'level, going to a JC and now tackling my mid-year examination.
I still remembered why I created this blog. The sole purpose was to record my success stories. However, as I wrote more and more, I started to add more things. Soon, my blog not only contain my success stories but also my everyday thoughts and reflections.
When will this blog end? I don't know, maybe tomorrow and maybe never will it close. Until one day where I see no motivation in blogging, I will eventually stop. But now is not the time. There's still so many things to do with this blog, so many new things that I haven't tested it out.
So, what's new after 1 year? Well, I really hope that this blog can motivate and inspire people to achieve their dreams. So, most probably not only I will be writing my own success stories, I will also talk about some of success people's stories. How their lifes are being transformed and what are their success principles.
Of course, I will still continue writing the daily happenings in my life. So don't worry. For now, this blog will be heading this direction and I hope that you will give me your utmost support.
Goodbye...

MY FIRST IAG CAMP
My first IAG camp has ended and the only camp I am coaching this season due to my upcoming mid-year examinations. I truly enjoyed it and make some very good friends there. Not only they are my friends, they are my mentors too. They certainly taught me alot of things and I really appreciate that.
Over here, I would like to thank Cheryl (PD), Trina (APD) and finally Kai Jian, my coach who all guided me alot. Thanks very very much! Of course not forgetting the whole of IAG camp, without you the camp won't be as successful and fun! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Joining as coach for this camp has really taught me alot, it has enable me to see different types of people. People who lack the direction, the drive, the method to succeed in life. As a coach, we are there to support these people, to help them, to guide them to the path of success. However, the ulitmate choice still lies with them whether they want to apply the new skills they acquired
I am glad to say that the team I coached see the light, the path at the end of four days. They changed for the better with the fire in their eyes, prepared to face any challenges in life. I am proud to see them graduate from the camp. It has been really enjoyable coaching you guys. THANKS TO KEITH, WEN XIANG, XIAO TING, HUI YING, DAVID AND MICK! YOU ALL WILL DEFINETLY SUCCEED IN LIFE!!!
Not forgetting my good peers from 0616 for the encouragement and concern you guys had given me. YOU PEOPLE ARE THE BEST!!!!!
So, what have I really learned? Well, after this camp, I know myself better now. I still lack the pretty much of the sociable skills. I tend to talk only to the people I know and not willing to open up more. Furthermore, I take a long time to get warm up to new people and I definetly need to shorten that time. There' pretty much work to be done here and I would gladly accept any guidances that can help me improve.
Self-confidence is also lacking in me, I tend to ask too many simple, straightfoward questions. Believing in oneself is really cruical in pursuing a coaching career and lots of work needs to be done here. The first step, I think is to talk more often to the opposite sex. I realised too that most of my best peers are of the same gender and I don't talk naturally when I am one to one with a female. So, one way is to talk more with females.
Split personality is next. I become another different person when I am focused into coaching. I can speak better, can build rapport with them much much easier, can do whole lot of commuication more efficently. However, once I am back to the backstage, I shut myself up again for some reasons. This is one really serious serious challenge I need to overcome. Please feel free to provide any comments to help me improve. I will appreciate that.
Alertness. Aware of the changes to the surroundings as I am late for several briefings. This challenge I can solved. Therefore, not much of a obstacle...
And so IAG camp came to and end, life return back to its usual state. This is not the end of the coaching route for me. If time permits, I will join again in December. So, wish me luck and goooooddbyeee!!!

A STRENUOUS RUN, OR IS IT?
The sun was bright and sunny, doing it's usual summer season routine of shining his radiant glow onto the track field. I stepped out of the bathroom, fully changed into my PE t-shirt. Assemble point was at the stand so I went there.
2 numbers came out from the PE's teachers mouth once we were all assembled there. 2.4km run. Signs of restlessness started to grow, people complained of the sun being too hot, others claimed that the fengsui for running today isn't auspicious enough. Still, the PE teacher stood firm in her decision to continue with the run. Of course, the weather is clear and fine, it's a waste missing a jog in this fine weather.
We each find a partner to take our timing and proceed to the track. Once again, people were still complaining of the bad fengsui and all sorts. They really should face up to reality. We did our warm-up and gathered at the starting point. "5, 4 , 3, 2,1 GO!" The run has begun.
I started out with the pace faster than before because I am determined to break my limitation. My sports shoes landed lightly onto the track with a springy feeling. Instantly, I know this is going to be a good run. All my peers are all right in front of me doing their remarkable, really fast "jog". Seriously speaking, I was at the bottom few. Never mind, I continued with my comfortable pace. Not before long I completed my first lap of 400m in 1:50.
2nd lap for me. Still going strong with the consistent pace. I lose sight of my friend Jia Jian whom I believe ran faster than I expected. Shi Jie was long gone since the starting of the race. I still kept the same pace although I was tempted to sprint all the way to meet up with them. 2nd lap ended with a timing of 3:50.
3rd lap came. Still my friends are miles away from me. Running, I continued knowing that once I stopped my dreams will be instantly dashed out of my mind. Maintaining the positive thought I continued with the run. In the 3rd lap, I admired the structure of NYJC which I never used to. I noticed every bit of it, from up from the roof to the bottom of the track. I realised I am rather lucky to have come this far to NYJC, graduate from GYSS, finishing my O'levels. Also, I remembered the times during after my O's, I went out full force to have fun with my friends whom I really adored. Good old days...
4th lap came. A strong heavy panting came from behind. IT WAS RODERRICK! He was sweating profusely. He overtook me. However, he stopped suddenly and I overtook him again. He was a pretty strong runner but he after that overtook I didn't see him again. So things still went on smoothly and the 4th lap ended.
It was the 5th lap where my stamina started draining fast. However, something kept me going. OVERTAKING! IT IS AT THIS POINT I CAUGHT UP WITH MY OTHER PEERS! THE FEELING WAS RATHER GREAT SEEING MY PEERS feeling exhausted from the jog. I know I am evil but it can't be help, it's human nature isn't it? 5th lap was the greatest lap of all, catching up with them pushing my position to the top few.
6th lap came. Basically one word. CHIONG AH!!!!!!!!
FINAL TIMING :11:59
MY 3RD TIME PASSING 2.4KM RUN!

MY FIRST "A"
I got my first "A"! An "A" for economics test. Phew, luckily after taking so many tests, I at least achieved an "A". Currently, I failed no test, averaging between a B and C. Not too satisfied with it but it doesn't really matter. What really matter is to know your mistake and be fully prepared for the Mid-Year.
A BRIEF UPDATE OF MY LIFE IN NYJC
It has been 2 months now in NYJC. I know quite a number of people, mostly friendly, none hostile. Getting pretty well along with my class. They are friendly, lively, bubbly and always full of energy and I wondered why. It's totally different from my secondary school class, 4e1. My class 4e1 is super quiet with most of the time, only a couple of people making some noise. Not only that, people from 0616 tend to be more ambitious, more confident of oneself. They tend to focus much better if they really into something.
However, one simple but crucial thing lacking in 0616. That is a class bonding. We tend to stick to our own group, going our own ways. I am not complaining about anything since I have my own little group but my small little group actually realised this flaw and now "merging" into another group. I do not really know if the other group realise this and I hopefully do.
Enough of this silly comparison, both have it's own uniqueness and flaws.
Next week, I will have my NAFFA test. Finally, 1 year of training and the real test is coming. Aming for a high silver, and if I really got silver this year, it will be my first time since primary 3 I got such a high achievement in my fitness test. Currently, I can do 9-10 pull-ups with a improvement from 5 last year, SBJ 220cm with a improvement of 200cm previous year, 12 45 for 2.4km maintaing it. Others pretty still the same. How will I fared, keep on reading this blog and you shall know it.
Next week, my first Chemistry SPA will commence. Testing us on Volumetic Analysis. Pretty confident about it and aiming for a level 8 of course.
JUNE HOLIFREAKDAYS
June holidays is drawing near. 1st week of holiday, I will have my actual coach session which lasts for four days. Straight after that, I have my lecutres which probably last for 3 days. And after that I have my chess tournament which last for 3 days too. A total of 2 weeks is gone instantly which left with 2 weeks to do my revision for my mid-year. This is going to be exciting.
DO CONFESS OR NOT TO CONFESS
Should I do it or should I not, that's the question...

THE RESULTS ARE OUT!
NOPE! It's not my results only! IT'S YOURS TOO! PEOPLE ACTION PARTY (PAP) have returned to power and again forming the government of Singapore. PAP won 82 seats out of the 84 seats in the parliament. That is 97.6% (3s.f) of the parliament seats.
On the other hand, the Workers' Party (WP) retain their seat in the parliament. WP won in the Hougang constituency.
Next is Singapore Democratic Alliance who also retain their seat in the parliament. This is their 6th time retaining their seat. They won in the Potong Pasir constituency.
This sums up the General Election 2006. In the next General Election, I will have the right to vote, the right to have a say in Singapore politics. Let's just hope that my consitituency won't be another walkover again.
THE EPP
The EPP. The exam paper project. People of 4e1, I am establishing the EPP, mainly for people in JC. Any of you who have gotten hold of your respective JC mid-year or PROMOS JC paper, please help to make a copy. There will be a trading of exam paper held soon. I shall call it the "EPP SUMMIT", just to make you aware of it.

THE MID OF WEEK 16
It is the mid of week 16, leaving 36 more weeks to go to the end of the year 2006. WHAT?!!! THAT FAST?
FINALLY, MY DREAM...
I believe I can FLY... I finally have. Most of you people who knows me well know that my goal is actually to be a motivational speaker. And now, I have take one step further into my dream. I have been successfully become a A. COACH.
Though, I have been selected which everyone did, I cannot lets my focus to go dwindle away. I still need to remain vigilant and strong to maintain this post. The last training will be on the next weekends and after that is more on the briefing on the camp.
WISH ME LUCK PEOPLE...
EXHAUSTED, TIRED, LETHARGLIC, BUT I'M LOVING IT
One glimpse at me and you guess it. I am really tired! This whole week I have been doing my best to cover up the revision time I lost during the coach training. Tests are also coming up, project work is still a junk (better this time), homework has really finally make a home in my home (you understand what I am talking), midnight oil is burning up my energy quick. However, in these midst of never ending work, I guess I just loved it. You have to love it in order to do it happily, right? I guess how motivation comes about...
And today is the faithful day, I decided to take a break and write on this simple, humble blog.(which is destinted to be the best blog in the world) Do you think I deserved it, OF COURSE I DO. I WORK SO SUPER HARD!
CHINESE CHESS COMPETITION
LOSE 3 AND WIN 1. I cannot make it to the finals but never mind, it is an enriching experience and I believed my chess skills improved by heaps and bounds.
SYNERGY
Hey, people. Want to go synergy. You should really go about seeing it. Trust me, it is going to be nice. Treat it as our class gathering. Jack and Yasi will definetly fetch a reasonable price for us. C'mon, we haven't seen each other for quite some time now. Don't wait for the chalet. Things are unpredictable, JC people may not have the time to go for a chalet. So, don't regret this chance of gathering together before we embark a journey of hard work against our Mid-year. Let us share this moment together. PLEASE PLEASE CONTACT JACK AND YASI AS SOON AS POSSIBLE...

MID OF WEEK 15
Wednesday, April 12th, year 2006. It's the middle of week 15. 37 more weeks to the end of year 2006.
1 MONTH ANNIVERSARY IN NYJC
1 month has ended. I have been in NYJC for 1 month now, surviving obstacles after obstacles, battling with full might and force.
Come to think of it, it has also been 1 month since I left SRJC. 1 month after a dramatic period of getting to know our posting results. 1 month after I went crazy knowing that I have been posted to NYJC.
Life has been pretty good for me in NYJC. Meeting new people, knowing different types of people. Now, that I have enlarged my circle of friends, I got to know more types of people adding to my dictonary of classifying people into categories.
Finally settling down to my new environment, I am definetly ready to handle any challenges.
THE JUNK, THE RUBBISH, THE CRAP
"ALL OF THESE ARE RUBBISH!!!" This is what my PW teacher want to warn us of. Warning us of our PI report. Saying that 99% of our 1st draft of our PI will be JUNK, RUBBISH! True enough, our black and white PI came back soaked with red ink. The value can be ultimately be equal to JUNK, RUBBISH.
However, in the midst of the JUNK AND THE RUBBISH, I saw 1 sentence. "GOOD ORGANISATION AND COHERENT OF IDEAS". NOT bad.
Oooopss, I got to go for assembly. See ya dudes.
Signing off....
