A TRUE JC MAN

The verdict is out. JAE posting results has just been released today. 37000 people will come face to face with their life route. Whether bad or good, we have to accept it. There is no escaping, no hiding, no weeping.

I personally can't go into my desired junior college. I was rejected by SAJC and was accepted by NYJC. Relatively glad about it since many weren't so lucky as me to be in NYJC.

To NYJC, it is on the faithful Monday, 6th March 2006. Never returning back to my roots, never returning back to SRJC. The 1st intake has ended with the highest peak it can ever have. It will always remain a part of me, a part of my memory, a part that will never leave me...

THE LAST FOR ME, A BEGINNING FOR THE OTHERS

The journey through SRJC has ended for me. A big FULL-STOP in my milestone for 1st intake. It has reached the dead end and ended. However, it is a new beginning for the others. The others who have joined the SRJC family. A family full of fun-loving caring people. A family full of spirit, energy, enthusiasm and motivation. Enjoy your stay there and remembered to say you are from GuangYang. You will know why when you get there.

Do not be fooled by the structure of the building, though it may look a bit run-down but it contains one of the most valuable asset you can ever find. Not even in the most prestigous Junior College, you can find this asset. That is CARE, INTEGRITY, PERSEVERANCE, RESPONSIBILTY AND RESPECT. How can you resist a school that strive towards excellence, that champions students who are all willing to put in their best effort. Be more open-minded and have fun.

THE GP, PE DAY
It's a normal breezy day. That day was a friday. As usual, I woke up from my bed and did the usual clean up of myself and went to school. We had PE lessons in the morning, playing "long ball". It was a pretty easy game to grasp, just using the baton and hit the ball. However, we still lose to 1s12, Zhong Ming's class. We were thrashed dramatically by 22-9. How ironic. Never mind, the most important thing is to have fun.
PE lessons ended and GP tutorial is next.
So, our main motive for GP lesson is the distract the teacher with very hot topics from the newspapers. We thought for awhile and decided to ask our GP teacher to comment on the NYP saga topic. Strangely enough, our GP teacher actually heard the question wrongly and went to talk about the JAE. What the difference between Poly and Junior College? The whole of the 1st period was spent on the JAE period talking about something we can't change. We were still glad since there is lesser GP lecturing. After that, we were returned a past assigment and was commended by the teacher. Not bad, the feeling was not bad.... not bad at all.
Next came a short half an hour break. The cruical meeting started. We sat at a long table at the canteen. Some of my classmates including myself bought lunch. My 17th plate of chicken rice. We sat down, with a solemn look on everyone's face. The next lesson was economics and there is a test. None of us studied but I did a little of reading up the day before. I wasn't really worry but my classmates were. The topic of the meeting: SHOULD WE PON? We took out a paper and started listing out the pros and cons of going to economics lesson. We were so focused that we didn't realise our economics teacher was 2 tables away from us. The final verdict, 3 of my classmates decided to pon and our class enrolment hit a year low of 6.
THE LAST WEEK OF HONEYMOON( 1st INTAKE)
The last week of 1st intake. The last week of honeymoon. The last week with my CG friends. The last week at SRJC. On Monday, I may be going to NYJC to have a look so that leaves 4 days with them. There could be another outing with my CG during the March holidays so that could be the last outing. I will definetly treasure the time with them as the probability of meeting all of them in 2nd intake is mild.
JOGGING FRENZY
I realise something today. I was aghast when I found out about this. Something unbelievable, something colossal. Something inside me. Something inside of me is taking over me. IT'S THE JOGGING FRENZY. I can't survive without jogging. My body feel very uncomfortable without the sweat from the jogging. I didn't have the opportunity to jog this morning as the air has a foul burning smell which I fear could cause a relaspe of my asthmatic attack though I have not have a asthma attack for years. I jogged about 3km yesterday which was totally refreshing. Then, I did 8 pull-ups, disproved by one sadly. Sometimes I really hoped that NAFFA test has been brought on foward so I can quickly finish the test and resume my leisure joggging where I do n0t have to push myself too much.
MY FIRST TIMES MAGAZINE
My 1st TIMES magazine has just arrived not long ago and I finished reading it yesterday. Now, I just have to ask permission from Vincent and trade NEWSWEEK with TIMES with him after he finished reading. I am a subscriber to TIMES and I am elegiblie to read TIMES article ranging from 1923 to now. ISN'T THAT SO COOL?

HONEY! 1S11 IS SHRINKING! FAST!
My civics group is shrinking real fast. From a lively enrolment of 23, it initially shrunk to only 21. Everything was stable till the release of the O'level results. On thursday, there were 7 boys and roughly 8 girls in the class. Still not so bad. Came the next day, where a pathetic 11 people turned up for class and 1 person withdraw from school that faithful day.
I can't blame them since it is logical that they are going to polytechnic, no point staying in Junior College. However, 1st intake is only another a week more to go. Why don't they just stay till the end?
Really can't blame them, since the school is so empty on friday. Almost half of the school didn't attend lessons. The once packed canteen has become a ghost canteen. Papers were left swirling around the floor without any paper friends to swirl around with. You cannot imagine how unsightly it is in SRJC until you truly witness it.

FIRST GATHERING FOR 1S11
Today, is the first gathering for civics group 1s11. We are going to meet at marina bay, supposedly eating steamboat. I don't know how things will turn out. Life is so unpredictable. Also, attending this gathering will definelty spark of reminiscence of my memories of my days with my former class, 4e1. I just went to this gathering with 4e1 not too long ago. We met also at marina to have steamboat. Those will fun days and a gathering before our O'level. Time flies, we are all leading our own new life.

O'LEVEL TOO EASY?
I would like to go to SAJC or NYJC. But chances are meagre, seeing so many single pointers opting the same school as me. I got 12 points but I feel so so so tiny puny small. Walking around the school last thursday, the day after the 6 calender day break. I heard alot of mumblings about their O'level results. Out of 10 people I evasdropped, 8 people scored better than me. This brings me to a conculsion. Are O'level now too easy for 21st century singaporeans students? The 21st century students have seems to grasp the skill on handling O'level. Even those that didn't do better than me, are just 1 to 2 pts away from me.
I'm not being "hao liao" here. This is just my point of view. You can post your comments up here on my blog if you don't agree with me.

THE WORLD
Reading newspaper has been a daily routine for me. Mainly because it is an easy task to do since you just have to sit on a chair and read it. And by just doing that, you get lots more benefits than you can even imagine. The world is getting real chaotic. I'm just glad that, for now Singapore is still quite peaceful. But I can't help thinking when will world peace prevails. When will ever the newspaper run out of business on reporting on this type of news? Or is world peace just a folktale that will never come...

GCE'OLEVEL RESULTS
The O'level results have just been released yesterday. This year top scorer is Chow Wen Xin, from Cedar Girls' School, with 10 A1s. A heartfelt congratulations to her and I wish her all the best, as she is destined to succeed in life.

As for me, I am in Guangyang Secondary School. Our top scorers are Shaun, Johnathan, Jazreel and Hui En, each with 5 distinctions. If I am not wrong, their L1R5 should be 10pts.

I scored 4As, 3Bs and no Cs. I got an A2 for my CCA and my L1R5 is 12 pts and L1R4 is 9pts. After deduction of my CCA., my L1R5 is 10pts. So, I am hoping that I can get in SAJC or NYJC.

Our school did pretty well this year, better than the DRAGON year batch which are our seniors. I am pretty confident that Guangyang will be value-added meaning the aggregate score for GuangYang will increase.

MY UPS AND DOWNS
Year 2005 has been a rather rocky year for me especially in terms of my academic results. I took my 1st exam, my mid-year examination. I got no As, 5Bs and 2 Cs and a L1R5 of 29pts.
I overcome this hurdle and carry on changing my strategy till my next exam, MOCKERY EXAMS. I sat for that exam and my results slightly improved. Next came my PRELIMS. I got 1A, 5Bs and 1Cs and a L1R5 of 19 pts. Still not satisfied with my results, I continued working hard.

I gotten into SRJC for my 1st intake, definetly not my desired JC. But still I live with it, believing that I can do much better for my O'level examination. I work pretty hard for my O'level, travelling back to school quite a few times to clarify any single doubts.

Then came the release of my O'level results. Finally, I reap what I sow, I got the results as stated above.

I am not writing this to impress anyone but to tell you that DO NOT GIVE UP WHATEVER HAPPENS. FOLLOW YOUR PASSION ALWAYS. DO NOT LET ONE MISTAKE TO HINDER YOUR HIDDEN POTENTIAL, YOUR HIDDEN GIANT. AWAKEN IT INSTEAD AND STRIVE FURTHER!

THANKS VERY MUCH!
I would like to borrow the opportunity to thank the following people in my life. Firstly, I would like to thank my family members especially my brother for the constant encouragement which really help me overcome this hurdle in my life.

Not forgetting the people from AKLTG for empowering me and teaching me one of the most powerful learning methods ever exists.

Lastly, my very good friends from class 4e1 espcially Ren Huan, Zhong Ming, Emile, Jun Yuan and Clive for your unusual sense of motivation you have given me.

ADDICTION?
Have you recently feel that something is lacking in your life? Do you feel you haven't done something? Do you feel restless because of this? Do you have to urge to read something? And everytime you click on that small little link and you do not like what you are seeing? Something is not updated? You feel frustrated and on the verge of DEPRESSION? If you do, YOU HAVE BEEN ADDICTED TO MY BLOG! I am terrbily sorry for causing you to feel that way. Till now, there is no cure to this addiction, even the tradition "cold turkey" doesn't work.

SUPER BUSY
I am busy, real busy. Homework are piling up, tutorials after tutorials, never ending. Lectures after lectures, never stopping to learn. Day after day, never stop living. Blog after blog, unfortuantely, I have to write lesser each time. My inspiration are dropping fast and quick. I need to recuperate and have to write once a week. Thanks for your co-operation.

Signing off.....
TRUTH & LIES OF PRE-O'LEVEL
The clock is ticking, the time has finally arrived. The final phase of our Secondary School Days are finally coming to an end. Fear and anxiety has starting to take a toll on us. As each day passed, we become more letharglic, more worried, more helpless...
And during this peak period of "Pre-O'level", a bunch of people spinned up some tales about the release of O'level results in order to take advantage of the fear and anxiety in us. Fight them or could you?

The Teaching Myth:
Have you received a letter from MOE, inviting you to join the "Teacher as a Career" seminar? If you do, watch out! Anybody who received this letter either have your L1R5 range from 10 to 15 or 15 to 20. Worse still, the envelope holding this invitation determines your L1R5 range. If you happend to get a brown envelope, your L1R5 falls in the range of 15-20. If you get a white envelope, your L1R5 range is from 10-15.
MY VERDICT: Quite convincing, I was actually fooled by this rumour or is it? I shall give this myth 4 stars out of 5. ****

The No Letter Myth:
H
owever, if you did not receive any sort of letter from MOE regarding the teaching seminar, there is 2 possiblitites. First, you are DOOM! Secondly, your results are better than average and MOE is considering offering you a scholarship. So, don't worry if you did not receive any letter, you know yourself well enough to know which category you fall in. This is what I heard.
MY VERDICT: Absoutley absurd, I don't believe in this myth at all. This is nonsense! I shall give 2 stars out of 5. **

CRASH-cont'd
I have been receiving alot of tips from people on how to go about managing the crash. So Chinesemaniac talk about fate. Fate. I don't really believe in fate as I think that we are totally in charge of our own life and I don't like the idea of people controlling my life. However, I believe that everything happens for a reason. Why do I have a crash on this girl, I believe happens for a reason. Though I do not know what exactly what the reason is but I will know it sooner or never I will know the reason. The thing now is to take a step at a time and see how things work before I make any bold decisions. You never know, this crash may disappear. I don't know, seriously...
but anyway thanks again for the encouragement.

WUSHU
I have taken up wushu as my CCA and it is pretty fun. I maybe posting some photos of my wushu stunts up on this blog. I may not post depending on my tight schelude. Strange, I feel awkward forming English statements. It is like broken English. Never mind, back to the topic. I have basically learned some punching martial arts and I still can't do some stunts very well but practice makes perfect. Since there will be no wushu training next week, I may be joining Shooting. I heard that the physcial training for shooting is pretty tough so I ought to try it out to test my fitness after 2 months of jogging and weight training during the holidays.

BUSY BUSY BUSY
Lessons will start proper next week with days ending as late as 1630. I won't have the time to post as much content as before on my blog so please forgive me. Seriously, I am too tired trying to advertise my blog and I need the energy back to focus on my studies. Studies will be my top priority now and I want to put other things aside now. Still, I want to befriend with the girl to see how things go and everything else I will need to put it on hold. And 4e1 people, if you are reading this, please keep the 4e1 blog alive and kicking. We can't afford to lose anymore people from the "conflict". And anyway I am in no position saying that sentence before this so please forgive me again.

GUANGYANG "?"
I have just returned from a visit to GYSS not long ago. It is seriously a big blow to me. The feeling of fimilarity wasn't there anymore. With so much things changed, I don't feel attached to GYSS anymore. I cannot stop the change but still the feeling wasn't there anymore. Chinese New Year may be the last time I'm going back to GYSS. I may give Teachers' Day visit a miss and rather stayed at my JC and join in the celebration. I don't know, things may change again. Life is so caparious, isn't it?

CHINESE NEW YEAR
Chinese New Year is round the corner and to celebrate it, I am going to change the template for this blog so just watch out for it. NO! I am not going embellish it but just some ordinary template so don't expect to something nice. I just love of the style of being simple. Simple makes your life less torturing but again being too simple may lead your life to a downfall.
AND overhere I want to wish everyone A HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!!!!

WHAT HAVE I LEARNT?
3 weeks in SRJC and I have learnt lots of things. Firstly, leadership, I got to know a girl name Tammy. She is the PLL (Peer Leader Leader) of Thebes and she is good. She is from CHIJ katong and she is the most enthusiastic girl I ever met. Whatever activities SRJC organises, she participate entirely and during GP lessons where almost everyone inculding me was looking down to avoid being called by the teacher, she stood up from the rest and take the intivative to answer the question. I seriously admire her alot and there is so much to learn from her. I thought I was already quite bold on being on stage talking to the audience but I never thought that someone is much much way better than me. Well, I have to agree to the chinese proverb saying" YI SAN BI YI SAN GAO"

Forgive, Forget & Appreciate
Forgive is to condone someone's wrong doings. Forget is to let the past be bygone and never rake it up again. Showing appreciation is to be grateful of someone or someone's good intention. A reunion is definetly a rare chance, a rare opportunity to catch up with each other. Let us start off this year with no regrets, no hatchets. Bury any hatchets and start life anew....
I too complained too much sometimes and hurt somebody in the process so please forgive me.

Conquering the LOSS (pt 2)
This loss is definetly a big blow to me. A blow that is reaching beyond repair. This thing has been with me since PSLE. It has been through thick and thin with for 6 long gruelling years and I lost it.
It's orange in colour, with 2 badges on it namely one stating "I love MY ATTITUDE PROBLEM" and "HELLO BISHAN". To make matter worst, in it are my essential tools to score excellent marks for my tests and exams and I LOST IT!
Conquered it, I will. Carry on with life, I will. Stay strong, I will.... WILL I???

CRASH
I think I had a crash with a girl lately. I do not know how heavy is the crash but it seems pretty deep. Joshua told me to go for it. So I decided to try it. I asked Anne for a little advice and she told me to be friends with her first before asking for her number. So I decided to find a chance to talk to her but the problem now is she is in the ARTS stream and I am in the Science Stream. It seems quite impossible to chat with her as our timetable are 2 worlds apart. How do I even communicate with her? I need help, can anyone help me?

STAR WARS EPISODE 7: SEARCH FOR THE LOST LIGHTSABRES
The CNY Version
A LONG TIME AGO, IN A GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY... ...

There lives 4 legendary Jedis. This story took place in the year 3578, where technology seems to meet its limit, advances are slow, poverty strook every corner of the galaxy. There lies a legend, a prophecy that 4 legendary Jedis will bring propersity and fortune to the whole milky way.

The 4 Jedis are: MASTER JEDI CHUE, MASTER JEDI JOSHUA, MASTER JEDI SHAUN and lastly Padawan Kok.

It was around 1253pm. Master Jedi Chue was watching SMALLVILLE, when he sensed a disturbance in the force. He sensed a beast was wreaking havoc in the city, killing many innocent lives. Many called the beast "NIAN". Master Chue wanted to help but he is weaponless, so he together with 3 other Legendary Jedis went in search for the lost lightsabres. The prophecy has a saying that only the lightsabres can defeat the "NIAN". Unfortuantely, Padwan Kok was consumed by the "NIAN" as dinner on his way to meet the other Jedis.

The other Jedis met at Bishan Council, dressed in simple civilian clothings to hide from the parapazzi, they took the train to Jurong East. The journey was long and ardous, bearing the intense heat and chilling rain, they finally reached their destination... THE SCIENCE CENTRE. They paid the stupid $12 entry fees and went into the Science Centre in search of their goals. Into the science centre they went, they saw many legendary Jedi. Jedi Master Jack, Jedi Master Anne, Jedi Master Joseph, Jedi CAT EMILE, Jedi Knight Zhong Ming and so on... They too saw many fallen Dark Jedis including Dard Lord of the Sith, Han SIONG!, Dark Jedi Ren Huan and lastly Darth Yuan(Jun Yuan was original name before he tuned to the dark side).

After intense hours of search, they finally found it. The four lightsabres lied in front of them. They can feel the dark power in it. The ambitious Jedi Master Chue wanted power, power and MORE POWER!!!! All of them took the sabres, and a big Jedi Duel occured. Jedi Master Chue has turned to the DARK SIDE. He uses his anger and fear to make him more focus. In an amazing thrust with the lightsabre, he killed Jedi Master Joshua in a single fatal blow. Jedi Master Joshua fall down to the ground spilling Jedi blood from his mouth. Jedi Master Shaun was shocked but in an amazing combination of Jedi Force and his newfound Lightsabre he managed to resurrect Jedi Master Joshua. Eventually in a 2vs1 duel, Dark LORD of THE SITH FALL...

The 2 Jedis went to finish off the beast "NIAN" and save countless people's live. The 2 jedi taught the people in order to prevent "NIAN" from coming back, they need to play firecrackers and paste red auspicious things in their household. This is how CHINESE NEW YEAR comes about. Understand?

Signing off....

HAPPY RAINY DAYs
Rain, Rain AND MORE RAIN. The monsoon season is here, and if you can recalled what Mr Tan said during Geography lessons, the rain comes from the South China Sea. Did it ever occured to you what will happened if all the rain came gushing down to Singapore. To me, the only place to able to survive the massive flood is Bishan.

Bishan is located right above a hill, though it is not a tall hill, but I think Bishan is still able to survive. Don't you feel safe living in Bishan?

Life in JC has been rather good, a new life has really started for me. Now is to await for the O'level results to be released. I suspect the results had already been delievered here to Singapore and the MOE are doing the final tablulation.

Life is full of rain and shine. However, we must not let the rain dampen our mood to do what we aimed for. STRIVE TOWARDS IT! Instead make use of the rain to fill the bucket of water, you never know when the shine will come at full blast and drained off the water. Train yourself to survive any obstacles and stay happy!

I hereby sincerely wish all my friends out there HAPPY RAINY DAYs!
THE OLYMPIAN EXPERIMENT: DAY 3 OF ORIENTATION

3rd day of my JC life. After a good night rest, my body has regenerated to the maxium point. I am fully recharged and ready to take any tasks at hand or so I thought. The usual routine of waking up at 5:30am and ate a piece of plain bread and rushed to school.

Greeted by the friendly security guard which really kick start my day, I too greeted Jack and Chin Swee through a simple sms. I don’t really expect them to reply since I myself seldom reply back to a sms. Walking with joy, enjoying the morning breeze, I suddenly felt something was behind me. Turning around I saw Li Shan, but on second look, it is actually Jane, the co-chairman of the STUDENT COUNCIL. I actually have difficulty differentiating Li Shan and Jane. They both look alike especially the way they walk and talk. So, I greeted Jane and she greeted me back with a great smile on her face. Now, this is truly a great way to start a day.

Then, as I was walking towards the exercise station, I felt a strong instinct to check on my handphone. And so I checked it, it was a sms from Jack. Here is his message to kick start my day. “F*** U! STOP UR NONSENSE LAH! U WILL GET IT WHEN I MEET YOU!” It was pretty disheartening to see such young people so easily flared up just because I send a morning message to him. How strange could he be? Just in case you are wondering what message I sent him, here it is. “Morning! Eaten ur breakfast?” Not affected by the message, I continued to do my simple morning exercise which is some pull-ups. Then again, another strong instinct came to check on my handphone, I checked it and it is a message from Chin Swee. His message though simple, is definetly much better than Jack’s. Here is his message to me. “Yesh…Morning!” This is what I called showing appreciation.

The day finally started but with a very low applauds. SUBJECT TALKS. I the flag-bearer leaded my team to the respective destination. It is the most boring tasks I ever done. The talks bored me to death except for the GP subject talk. The moment we walked into the lecture hall, she asks us to be quick and asks us to shut-up. Then she went insulting us, telling us none of us in this cohort is legible for KI (knowledge and inquiry). Show some respect, there are a few RI students down here!!! She was also quite vain, every time she turned around, she has to swing her silky brown hair so violently so that her hair is conspicuous for everyone to see. The most unbearable is these, the lessons haven’t even started and she said that everyone will fail our GP exam this year. How irritating is that!!!

I mean this is not the right way to motivate us into studying for our GP.

The talk ended and it is time for a break. I don’t really have time to properly have a meal since I have a skit to act in. So I bought a “bao” (bun) from the snacks stall and eat it. A very typical bun, probably from the factory. Nothing much to comment on.

Break is over and I had to meet with the other THEBES PL to discuss about the skit. I volunteered to be the mom. I wasn’t really sure why I volunteered to this role, till now I have no answers at all. No choice, I have to keep my promise and become a mom. I actually wore a skirt, and had to act in it. From then on, everyone from the group calls me “MOM”. The 1st auditions falls on today too. So, after few rehearsals we went for the audition. I have to act sissy, naggy, pathetic in order to successfully make the judges laugh. I eventually did my job with some embarrassments. Here is the storyline.

The skit is about a game show on the WORLD UGLIEST MAN ALIVE. There are 2 contestants, and they went up to see the world ugliest man. They can’t stand the look and they fainted. You should really see their acting skills, they are good!

The day ended.

Wait for my 4th day of my JC life.

THE OLYMPIAN EXPERIMENT:DAY 2 OF ORIENTATION

Day 2 of my JC life, woke up at 5:30am. 1/4 of my energy is gone, left 3/4. Still in a very enthuisatic mood, I ate my piece of bread and head off to school. Reach there about 6:30am, greeted again by the friendly security guard.

Through pure observation, Johnathan and Jazreel didn't report to school today. Guangyang lost its domination of the Orientation to Cedar Girls' School. Everywhere I go, I can at least see some Cedar Girls' school students somewhere in the college. Also, I tried looking for the girl whom I danced with yesterday, sadly I don't think she reported for school that day too.

The day went on without them and we headed to our OG classroom. We handed in our prelims results to our OG tutor. Again, lots of boring admin stuff among the tutors and I almost doze off again. Ren Huan, completely exhausted from day 1 slept throughout the admin thing. I also received my Orientation package costing me $18. Just look at what's inside. Announcement came and we had to report to the hall for the MASS DANCE. We changed to our PE t-shirt and headed to the hall.

The dance was pretty complicated and many of us were lost in the midst of the steps. BUT PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT, we all have fun dancing and finally mastered some of the basic steps. Nothing much amusing happened except for Adrian who laughed with Kai Yuan throughout the whole Mass Dance for some reasons.

Lunch came and I bought a plate of mixed vegetable rice. I ordered 2 dishes, 1 of them is chili vegetable and the other is sweet braised pork meat. OHHHHHHHHH MANN!!!! IT TASTES SO MUCH BETTER THAN GUANGYANG'S MIXED VEGETABLE RICE!!!! The chili vegetable was spicy enough to actually get rid of the smelly pesticides of the vegetables. The chili used was definetly top quality and I heard it was actually homemade. The vegetables are springy and crunchy with each bite brings out the full taste of the hot spicy chili. Next came the braised pork meat, the best of the dishes. The braised pork was fried so perfectly over the flame that it is actually crunchy on the outside but soft in the inside. It captures the sensitive tastebuds of mine and actually made me want to cry. After suffering 4 years of bland food in GYSS, I finally got to enjoy good food! Each bite onto the braised meat brings out the sweet and sour taste of the sauce used in the cooking. The gravy used tastes just right, not too oily nor too sweet. I decided to give 4 stars out of five for this dish. Furthermore I heard that this mixed vegetable store changes it menu every single day....

After lunch, a few GYSS people gathered in the hall and so I joined them. Zhong Ming and Emile seems to be MIA( missing in action). So we just continued chatting and time flies and we went to gather back to our OG. Now, it is time to prepare for the campfire performance and we had to elect a PL(peer leader). Strangely enough, I was elected by the OGL. No choice, I led my team to the campfire preparation and some ideas flow in. Chun-Li seems to be abit over ambitious and wanted to perform an orchestra. Finally we got an idea and decided to sing the song " PASS IT ON". Additional 4 PL's join me in the role later and I was the flag bearer as seen from the photo on 4e1 blog.

Ren Huan still very tired, slept throught the whole campfire preparation. We finally got to see Zhong Ming and he was with his Catholic High friend for some reason. We didn't bother him much since we have our own life too.

Day 2 ended with not a very high bang but we still have much fun...
Await for day 3 of the orientation.

THE OLYMPIAN EXPERIMENT:ORIENTATION DAY 1

Day 1 of my orientation. Woke up 5am in the morning, feeling excited, ecstatic, with thoughts of meeting new boys and girls came flusing into my mind early in the morning. I got ready my tools, basically a digital camera, a bag and some writing tools. After gorging down my wonderful breakfast which is only a piece of simple bread, I set off at 6am to a WHOLE NEW ADVENTURE WHICH DEFINETLY LEFT A BIG BIG MARK IN MY MILESTONE OF MY LIFE...

I reached my destination at 6:10am, amazingly the school gate was opened. I walked into Serangoon JC, greeted by the security guard. The place was totally deserted and saw a few listless faces along the way to the hall. I took out my digital camera and begin shooting some pictures. I heard a few people calling me "SIAO", came here so early and take pictures. However, they can't break my determination of taking the best photos here. So the canteen I went and took the photos of the stalls there, and I was totally gladden with hope that my 1st 3 mths here will be fufilling.

Time passes, people have begun flocking in. No surprise the usual people from GuangYang has come and join in the fun. Emile, Joseph, Jazreel, Zhong Ming, Clive, Vincent, Puay Kun, Ren Huan, Jun Yuan and Johnathan. I didn't get to see Johnathan as I heard from Jun Yuan that Johnathan still can't find Serangoon JC. We went in without him and settled to our respective OG(orientation group). Ren Huan and I surprisingly is in the same group, THEBES (EPSILON).
The usual routine of singing the National Anthem and saying the Pledge. Then came the Principal, she came onto the stage expecting us to clapped and cheer for her but nobody did. I was about to burst out laughing. The principal doesn't seems very stable, she talks so fast, faster than Shaun, that I can't even understand what she was talking about. The morning assembly ends and we head off to our OG classroom, leaded by our OGL( orientation group leader).

The day went on, doing alot of admin stuff. I almost doze off and finally the fun started. The first exciting item. THE COLLEGE DANCE!!!! I went off with Ren Huan in hope of finding someone beautiful to dance with. We went to CORINTH and finally I found someone. She was quite cute, defintely pretty and about the same height as Anne. She has black silky hair, has a very seductive smile and a very perfect hour-glass figure. The dance starts and I got to hold her hand and dance. We dance, dance and dance. Ren Huan was right beside me and she was dancing with a typical girl(go ask him yourself, who he dance with). The FEELING WAS SO GREAT!! Sadly, the college dance ended and I bid farewell to her. Too bad, I forgot to take a photo of her.

LUNCH TIME. I ate two plates of chicken rice, the rice was non-oily and was fragrant. Furthermore the chicken was so tender and smooth, with every bite comes out 4 different tastes, namely spicy, salty, sweet and sour . The chicken is amazing. Not to mention the sweet and sour chili sauce that matches the standard of the chili sauce outside GYSS. I decided to give 4 stars out of 5 for this dish.

After lunch, we had our station games. Each team get to play 4 games on that day. I got to know some really cool people there, namely Ming Liang from Zhong Hua, Jun Zhi from Sengkang Secondary, Ren Huan from GYSS, Veronica from Braddell-westlake, Chun-Li from Whitnely. The games started with a BIG BANG! First game we played was "SPONGE NETBALL". I was the goal-keeper and our team scored 3-0. VICTORY FOR US! We loss the next game and a draw for the next.

Then came the last game. I do not know the exact name of the game but I decided to called it "DO NOT PLAY IF YOU HAVE NO LUCK!" GAME. Basically here how this game works. There are rougly 20 chairs layed out in a single row arranged in horizontal manner. Behind some of this chairs are some marks. If anyone of us sat on these marked chairs, you will have a pail of water poured on you. Each team must played 3 rounds. A few guys do not dared to play this game so I volunteered myself for the 1st round. So happily I went and sat on of the chairs. Ren Huan sat a few chairs away from me. I read my horoscope for that day and it says LADY LUCK WILL NOT be with me today. Refusing to believe what the horoscope says, I sat on the chair. The moment I sat on the chair, something tells me to GET OUTTA OF THERE!!! Still stubborn, I continue to sit on that chair. Out of a sudden a pail of water came FLUSHING down from my back and I know I have been hit! Never mind, this is the only the first time. Still refusing to believe in the horoscope, I entered the second round of the game. I sat at the same place again. Ren Huan too played and he did not get drenched in the 1st round. Second round started, the game coordinator loitered around my area. Intially, he poured some water at my partner and so I thought I am saved this time. BUT!!!!! All of a sudden the pail of water came flushing to me again!!!!! So I told myself, never mind this is only the 2nd time. The last round of the game and I was determined to prove the horoscope wrong. I went back to the same chair and sat on it again. The 3rd round started and guess WHAT?!!! I was being poured again. From then on, I was labelled in my OG the UNLUCKILEST DUDE IN SRJC!

THEREFORE DAY 1 OF MY ORIENTATION ENDED WITH A BIG BANG! Await my second day of my orientation...

MARINA BAY: THE MAGNIFICENT END TO THE YEAR

We went Marina Bay, members of the Marina Freak: Shaun, Joshua, Jack, Kok Xiong and me. We took separate taxis there as the taxi drivers refuse to fetch us. We were overloading the taxi.

So, went there I was with Shaun and Joshua. We alight at Suntec City tower 3 and ran all the way from there to the PRESIDENT BRIGDE. It was a gruelling journey since I have just eaten and my jeans are quite loose.

We arrived at the bridge, we were struggling within the crowd, it was so noisy. THEN CAME A SPARK FLYING HIGH UP TO THE SKY LIKE A PIECRING ARROW. BOOOOM! The spark split itself into different combinations of colours. The crowd went silence. It was too beautiful to resist. Everyone stopped whatever they are doing and look up to the bright, sparkling sky. This is my first time watching fireworks live, the feeling was great. Stood there motionless watching the once lifeless sky becoming a beautiful, powerful phoneix. This is my first gathering of the year, it really means alot to me.

Joshua was right beside me, both of us stood there motionless. We tried to send sms but in vain, the network was all corked up. The last journey for 2005 ended for me, and I wish you the merriest HAPPY NEW YEAR...
THE AMAZING BBQ
The last activity of the year 2005. The 2005 BBQ OF THE YEAR. I was kindly invited by Daryl and Wen Yi to this event. So, went there I do. I met Joseph and a group of girls to go to Daryl's house. That is the venue for the BBQ.

The BBQ started quite late but I don't mind since I am not that hungry. We talk about everyday life, life in JC, life in Poly, life at work. Then came the jokers, Joshua and Kok Xiong. This where the fun really started.

Mr Kok apparently saw my t-shirt and on my t-shirt wrote "HEAD CREATOR", amazingly, through these words he can make thousands of jokes. I almost die laughing. Then we went to have a drink at the nearest vending machine, this is where a bunch of kids were playing with the lightsabres. I actually wanted to borrow it but they refused and we started to laugh at them. In the end, we have a laughing battle with a bunch of kids...

Jack came, with white t-shirt with the word "SHADOWLESS" on it. Actually, I wanted to make fun of it but he seems pretty down for some reason. So Shaun suggested we go Marina Bay...to be continued...

THE FINAL WALK OF THE YEAR

The final walk, a walk to round up the year, a walk of final reflection, a walk to a new life, a walk to a NEW YEAR. A walk to end the unhappy things happened in 2005. That is the most important, to forgot any unhappy things and start life refresh.

Today, I took a long, relaxing stroll down Bishan Park. I ask myself questions after questions, some I even can't remembered now. But the most vivid question of all is did I hurt anyone this year, did I heart this person deep? Fortunately, the answer is no.

Past achievements is my another question. What have I achieved this year? Starting from my academic, this year has been rather a up and down for my academic performance. Now is to await for my O'levels to overall sum up my academic achievements.

Next is my relationships with my friends. Through this holidays, I have certainly know alot of my friends better. I have rather break out from my small mini group of friends and have expand it to a larger circle. This friends are basically, Joseph, Jack, Han Siong, Jeffrey and Anne.

It is really a pity to see most of my friends heading to a very different life from me. Well, this is life, you cannot be with your friends forever. Just have to learn to adapt to it and make new and better friends. I certainly hope that I can convince some of my friends to enter JC, but it is really all up to them. Let's just hope that something really strikes them and they want to enter JC.

Then, come another group of friends who will be leaving me, meaning migrating to other countries for further education. Let's just hope once again, they bring back sweet memories of GYSS and never forget us, 4e1 and of course me.

To sum up, this has been a very emotional year for me. See ya people!
